Washington’s Alex Buck Named MAC Hermann Trophy Forward To Watch

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Washington forward Alex Buck has been selected as a MAC Hermann Trophy Forward to Watch, announced Monday by the United Soccer Coaches and the Intercollegiate Women's Soccer Organization for Coaches.
Buck, a United Soccer Coaches All-American in 2025, catapulted to national notoriety during her second collegiate season, tying for third in the Big Ten with 23 points on the season. Buck tied for fifth in the league with nine goals, all scored after the start of conference play.
Five of Buck's goals were match-winners, tied with teammate Jadyn Holdenried for the second most in the Big Ten.
The Medina, Washington, native converted from the penalty spot to bring home UW's first conference championship in 25 years, leading the Dawgs to a 1-0 victory over Wisconsin at Husky Soccer Stadium.
Buck's prolific play continued into postseason play for UW, netting a brace in the Huskies' NCAA First Round win over Montana on its home field. Just under a week later, Buck galloped down the field and buried the golden goal against Arkansas, sending the Huskies to the Sweet 16 and eventually the Elite Eight.
Buck joins fourth years Maya Loudd and Jadyn Holdenried, who were tabbed a MAC Hermann Trophy Defender and Midfielder to Watch, respectively.
