
Huskies Close Regular Season Against UCLA On Friday

SEATTLE - No. 15 Washington hosts UCLA for the final action of the regular season on Friday night at Husky Soccer Stadium. The Huskies can still clinch the Big Ten regular season championship and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament with a win over the Bruins and a Maryland loss to Michigan State.
Prior to kickoff, Washington will recognize 10 seniors at Husky Soccer Stadium. The match will begin at 5 p.m. and will be broadcast on Big Ten Plus with live stats available at Huskystats.com.
SCOUTING THE BRUINS
UCLA sits fourth in the Big Ten with 14 points and a 4-3-2 conference record. The Bruins are 5-6-4 overall and have scored 21 total goals. Sergi Solans Ormo leads the team with nine goals and four assists for 22 points.
SERIES HISTORY
UCLA holds the advantage in the all-time series over Washington. The Huskies own a 25-34-3 record against the Bruins, dating back to 1972. Washington has claimed 13 wins in the last 17 meetings between the two programs, including a 1-0 victory in Los Angeles last season.
LAST MEETING (11/3/2024)
LOS ANGELES – Washington men's soccer clinched the 4-seed heading into the Big Ten Tournament following a 1-0 victory over No. 25 UCLA on Sunday afternoon at Wallis Annenberg Stadium.
The Huskies close out the regular season on a four-match win streak and an overall record of 8-4-5 (4-3-3 Big Ten).
Since the 2019 season, the Huskies are 16-5-7 against ranked opponents in the regular season. This season, UW is 4-3-3 against the Top 25.
Jadon Bowton recorded a career-high six saves on the afternoon on his way to his third consecutive clean sheet. Bowton and the Husky defense have held opponents scoreless in the last 296 minutes, last conceding a goal against Penn State in the 64th minute on October 18.
After a scoreless 45 minutes of action, the Huskies broke through. Alex Hall connected with Zach Ramsey to give the Dawgs a 1-0 lead in the 78th minute. It is the second goal of the year for Ramsey.
CONFERENCE TITLE ON THE LINE
The Huskies can still clinch a share of the Big Ten title or the championship outright depending on results around the conference. With a win over UCLA and a Maryland loss at Michigan State, the Huskies would claim the Big Ten title outright. If the Huskies win and Maryland draws against Michigan State, Washington and Maryland would be even on points and be named co-champions.
BIG TEN TOURNEY IMPLICATIONS
With a Washington win and a Maryland loss, the Big Ten soccer tournament would come to Husky Soccer Stadium with the Dawgs as the No. 1 seed. If Maryland ties or wins, or the Huskies lose, Maryland would secure the No. 1 seed and host the tournament.
The 2025 Big Ten Men's Soccer Tournament is a four-team event that will kick off at the home site of the tournament's No. 1 seed on Wednesday, Nov. 12, with a pair of semifinal games. The championship match will be played Sunday, Nov. 16, with the champion earning the Big Ten's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament. Both semifinals and the championship match will be televised live on the Big Ten Network and can be streamed via the web, smartphones, tablets and connected devices through FOX Sports Go and the FOX Sports App.
0-1 LOSS TO NO. 2 MARYLAND
Washington dropped its first game in over a month on Friday in a 1-0 defeat to then-No. 2 Maryland. In the 83rd minute, Maryland crossed a ball into the box where Jadon Bowton was unable to punch it clear after he collided with a Terps forward. Another Maryland player found the ball after the collision and poked it in for the only score of the game.
Despite the loss, the Huskies are one of only three teams this season to hold Maryland to one or less goals. Jadon Bowton made four key saves on 17 shots, including a point-blank one-on-one stop to prevent a goal.
5-0 SHUTOUT FOR SIX STRAIGHT WINS
The Dawgs absolutely dominated the Buckeyes 5-0 last week to claim their sixth win in a row. Charlie Kosakoff contributed a brace while Alex Hall chipped in a goal and assist to lead Washington to the big win.
With the win, Washington has now scored at least five goals in a game three times this season. The Huskies also improve to 9-0 when scoring first and 8-0 when scoring in the first half.
Four Huskies found the back of the net with Alex Hall scoring the game-winning goal, Charlie Kosakoff tallying a brace, and Conner Leber and Clarens Dollin each scoring the second goals of the season.
The Huskies took care of business on both sides of the ball, shutting out the Buckeyes to earn their fifth clean sheet in the last six games. Jadon Bowton earned his seventh win and his fourth shutout of the season. He made a season-high seven saves while facing 15 shots.
HERMANN TROPHY RECOGNITION
Richie Aman was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Midseason Watch List thanks to his impactful play all season long. Aman currently is third in the nation with 11 total assists and third in assists per game at 0.69. His 17 total points are the fifth most in the Big Ten and 71st in the NCAA as well.
The 2025 midseason watch list was compiled by members of the Hermann Trophy Midseason Watch List Committee. A total of 15 players will be named 2025 Hermann Trophy semifinalists on December 9 at the conclusion of NCAA Division I All-American voting. From that list, head coaches will cast votes, and three players will be named finalists. The 2025 recipient will be announced January 9, 2026, in a ceremony at the historic Missouri Athletic Club in downtown St. Louis, Mo.
Aman has had multi-assists games on five occasions, including against both Rutgers and Indiana, and moves into a tie for fourth in the Husky record book for assists in a single campaign (11).
CLASS OF THE BIG TEN
Four of the top eight players in total points in the Big Ten are Huskies. Zach Ramsey (6g, 6a) is third in the league and first for the Huskies with 18 total points. He's followed closely by Richie Aman (3g, 11a) and Charlie Kosakoff (7g, 3a) in fifth with 17 points. Alex Hall (4g, 7a) is eighth in the Big ten with 15 points.
As a team, Washington leads the conference in shots on goal percentage (45.1%) is second in goals scored (38), goal differential (25), assists (42), shots (237), shots on goal (107), and in goals allowed (13).
INTO THE RANKINGS
The Huskies entered both the United Soccer Coaches and Top Drawer Soccer rankings in week seven and have stayed in each poll since. This week, Washington is 15 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll, 16 in the Top Drawer Soccer rankings, and 26th in the RPI.
OFFENSIVE OPPORTUNITIES
The Huskies have been applying the pressure in every game this season, recording more shots than their opponents in 10 of 16 games. Washington is 9-0-0 when scoring first and 8-0-0 when scoring in the first half. During the last seven games, the Huskies have outscored their opponents 15-2.
As a team, the Huskies' offense ranks among the best in the country. Washington is sixth in total goals (38), seventh in total points (118), and ninth in total assists (42).
HALL ON THE SCENE
Hall has become a crucial part of the Huskies' offense of late. Most recently, he netted the game winner against Ohio State and dished an assist as well. He also scored the game-winning goal against Indiana before assisting another strike later in the match.Against Northwestern, he provided a crucial assist to the game winner scored by Harrison Bertos. At Wisconsin, he assisted the game-winning goal against Wisconsin. And earlier this season against Gonzaga, Hall bagged his first career brace while chipping in an assist for a career-high five points. He now has a career-high 15 points on the season (4g, 7a).
Hall currently ranks 24th in the NCAA and fourth in the Big Ten in total assists (7) and 33rd in the NCAA and fifth in the Big Ten in assists per game (.44).

12 Huskies have made their Washington debuts in the first two matches of the season. Levi Bieber, Brecken Bowers, Cameron Cruz, Clarens Dollin, Jaeger Felton, Carter Gay, Osato Enabulele, Sheehan Ganguly, Philip Kleeman, Zack Meier, and Kevin Hernandez, and Chad Sovde all featured during the first four games of the season.
BRICK WALL KEEPERS
While the Huskies offense has been hot lately, the defense has been just as impressive. Washington has shutout their opponents in five of the last seven games, including two top-15 opponents in then-No. 12 Indiana and then-No. 13 Rutgers.
Bowton has started each of the last five games, allowing just two goal during that stretch while collecting four wins. Against Rutgers, Bowton prevented an equalizer by saving a penalty kick in addition to four other stops for a season-high five saves. He then set a new season-high with six saves in the shutout win over Ohio State. Bowton has a 7-2-1 record this season with four shutouts.
Bieber has made five starts this season and has led Washington to three shutouts and a 3-1-1 record in those games. Bowton has made seven starts, earning a 4-2-1 record with two shutouts.
Bieber tied a career-high four saves last time out while facing a career-high 19 shots in a 1-0 shutout victory at Northwestern. Earlier this season, in his second career appearance, Levi Bieber recorded his first win and shutout. Bieber has two complete game shutouts and one combined shutout on the year.

Entering year two in the Big Ten conference, Washington has been picked to place fifth in the 11-team league, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Washington finished 8-6-7 last season, advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Huskies ended the season with a 4-3-3 record in Big Ten play, finishing fourth in the league with 15 points.
HOMEGROWN TALENT
Washington's roster features 19 of 29 players who hail from the state of Washington. Of those postseason appearances, Clark's Huskies have made four trips to the NCAA Quarterfinals, including three straight NCAA Quarterfinals appearances from 2019-21.
Clark currently ranks seventh in winning percentage among active head coaches with a .696 percentage in 17 career seasons.

Following the completion of the regular season and the Big Ten Tournament, Washington will shift its sights to the NCAA Tournament. The Huskies will learn their path to the College Cup on November 17. the 2025 College Cup will be held at First Horizon Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina from December 12 to 15.
