
Huskies Host ITA West Sectionals At Nordstrom Tennis Center

SEATTLE – The final opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships awaits as Washington women's tennis hosts the Intercollegiate Tennis Association West Sectional Championships.
From the sectional, the six singles players and three doubles teams will qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships held in Orlando, Fla. Nov. 18-23.
Eight Dawgs will compete in the tournament with action beginning on Thursday and running through Sunday at the Nordstrom Tennis Center. Admission is free with matches beginning at 9 a.m. PT each day with doubles, followed by singles. Live scoring and a live stream will be available for all matches. Draws can be found by clicking here.
Teaming up in doubles are Waverly Potter/Zehra Suko, Erika Matsuda/Carina Syrtveit, Marie Weissheim/Alexia Jacobs and Jermine Sherif/Reece Carter. In singles, Syrtveit, Jacobs, Sherif, Carter, Weissheim and Matsuda will hit the courts.
The Huskies have three singles players ranked in the preseason ITA rankings in Carter (#68), Karolina Kozakova (#95) and Matsuda (#96). Two doubles teams are ranked in Jacobs/ Weissheim (#24) and Matsuda/Syrtveit (#64).
