Bowton Earns Second Big Ten Goalkeeper Of The Week Honor

SEATTLE – For the second time this season, Jadon Bowton has been named Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week, the conference office announced today.
Bowton recorded his sixth clean sheet of the season in a 1-0 upset victory over No. 25 UCLA on Sunday to close out the regular season. He set a career-high with six saves in the outing with four coming in the first 45 minutes of action.
This season, Bowton posts a 1.00 goals against average, 37th best in the NCAA. In 17 matches he's tallied 47 saves. He has played every minute in goal. His six shutouts are tied for most in the conference and 19th nationally. In his career, Bowton holds a 0.974 goals against average which is 18th best among active DI student-athletes.
The senior from Spokane was also named B1G Goalkeeper of the Week on September 24 following a shutout of then-No. 20 Northwestern.
Washington makes its debut in the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday against Michigan State. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. PT and streaming on B1G+.
