With ten of the conference's schools set to join new conferences in 2024, this will be the last chance for Pac-12 glory for most of the teams and individuals. It will also be the only Pac-12 Championship event hosted by the University of Washington in this academic year.

Admission is free for all spectators. The Pac-12 Networks will televise the event live. The men's race is up first, starting at 10:10 a.m., followed by the women's championship at 11:10 a.m.

This is the third major meet in recent years that UW has hosted in University Place. The first was the 2020 Pac-12 Championships, held in the spring of 2021. Both Husky teams finished third that season, with Haley Herberg getting a thrilling wire-to-wire individual victory. Last season, the Huskies hosted NCAA West Regionals at Chambers Creek, and again both teams placed third, while Brian Fay got the individual win for the men's team.

The Pac-12 Championships is the first of a three-stage championship season, followed by Regionals in two weeks, then the NCAA Championships on Nov. 18.

A year ago, Colorado won the women's race and Stanford took the men's title. Washington was fifth in the women's race and the men placed third.

In the current USTFCCCA rankings, the Pac-12 has six of the top-21 teams on the women's side. Stanford is favored with a No. 5 ranking, followed by No. 9 Oregon State, No. 14 Oregon, the Huskies at No. 19, then Colorado and Utah are right behind at No. 20 and No. 21.

The men's field is led by 9th-ranked Colorado, then Stanford comes in at No. 25. The Huskies and the Ducks are both in the "receiving votes" category.

Teams can run up to ten athletes in each race, with as usual the top-five making up the team score and the six and seven runners able to displace other team's scorers.

The 19th-ranked women's team is set to start a lineup of Ella Borsheim, Julia David-Smith, Rosalie Fish, Chloe Foerster, Samantha Friborg, Tori Herman, Sophie O'Sullivan, Marlena Preigh, Naomi Smith, and India Weir.

The men are ready to run with James Crabtree, Leo Daschbach, Jamar Distel, Eric Gibson, Tyrone Gorze, Nathan Green, Luke Houser, Evan Jenkins, Ronan McMahon-Staggs, and Joe Waskom. Green and Waskom have yet to compete this fall.
