NCAA Records Set In DMR and 4x800m Relay
2024-25: Broke through to earn First Team All-America honors indoors and outdoors in the mile and the 1,500-meters, running several of the fastest times in Husky history … top-20 at the USATF Outdoor Championships in the 1,500-meters … won the Big Ten Indoor title at 800-meters for her second conference gold … one of the cross country leaders in the fall, earning All-Big Ten First Team ... named a CSC Third Team Academic All-American.
2025 Outdoors: Another terrific campaign, earning her first outdoor All-America First Team honor to go with her indoor podium, as she placed eighth in the NCAA 1,500m final which was won by teammate Sophie O’Sullivan … ran 4:11.03 in the NCAA final in Eugene, after advancing out of the semifinals with a time of 4:10.62 … moved out of NCAA Prelims with a quick 4:06.74 in the quarterfinals to take fourth in her heat in College Station … missed Big Ten outdoors to manage her health … had dominant victories to start the outdoor season with PRs at 800m and 1,500m, first winning the Stanford Invite 1500m by seven seconds in 4:07.32, then running a 800m PR of 2:00.52 to win the Stanford Invite 800m by three seconds, and two weeks later she ran a 1,500m PR of 4:05.75 to win the Bryan Clay Invite by 1.5 seconds … 800m PR ranks No. 3 in school history and 1,500m PR ranks No. 2 … ran on second-place 4x1500m relay at Penn Relays and third-place 4x800m relay, splitting 2:01.35 in the 4x8 … Summer: Competed at the World University Games in Germany for Team USA, reaching the finals of the 800-meters and placing seventh in 201.58 … ran at the USATF Outdoor Championships on July 31, placing 18th overall in the 1,500-meters in 4:09.62.
2025 Indoors: Helped UW to an historic fourth-place team finish at NCAA Indoors, placing sixth in the mile final in 4:34.18, one spot behind teammate Amina Maatoug, for her first career podium finish … advanced to the NCAA mile final by taking second in her prelim heat in 4:34.74 … won her second conference title, and first in the Big Ten, taking the 800-meters at Big Ten Indoors in a thrilling finish in 2:03.27, coming from behind to win by just .02 seconds … qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships for the second year in a row in the mile, dropping her PR own to 4:26.54 at the BU Terrier Last Chance Meet, just a tenth of a second behind teammate Amina Maatoug as they posted the two fastest miles in UW history … another fast mile time of 4:28.90 at the UW Invitational … led off the UW DMR that broke the School Record with the fourth-fastest time in NCAA history in 10:40.44 at the Husky Classic.
2024 Cross Country: Was an All-Big Ten First Team selection, leading the Huskies to second-place at the Big Ten Championships with a sixth-place finish in 19:34 … also led the Huskies at Pre-Nationals, finishing 16th overall in 19:50 … was sixth on the team at the NCAA Championships, finishing 183rd overall … earned All-West Region honors with a 19th-place finish at Regionals, third on the squad … helped UW win the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invite with a 29th-place finish, fourth on the team.
2024 Track: Achieved All-America honors, set school and NCAA records, and won the final Pac-12 title at 1,500-meters in a tremendous sophomore season … became the first Husky to win the Pac-12 1,500-meter title since 2009, defeating a loaded field at altitude in Boulder in a time of 4:16.33 … anchored the Huskies to an NCAA Record in the 4x800-meter relay at the Penn Relays, getting the first Penn Relays win in school history in the process, in a time of 8:17.28, splitting 2:02.17 … the 4x800m relay won Pac-12 Women's Track Athletes of the Week following the Penn Relays, Foerster's second Pac-12 weekly award of the season ... advanced to first NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 1,500-meters, placing 22nd in the semis … qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials, competing in the first round … at the Bryan Clay Invite, turned heads with a 4:07.96 time, going to No. 2 in the NCAA ... after the Bryan Clay result, won Pac-12 Women's Track Athlete of the Week honors for the first time … raced over the summer in Europe, getting a 3,000m PR of 8:58.56 (No. 3 in school history) and a 1,500m PR of 4:07.66 (No. 2 in school history) in Ireland, and then posting an 800-meters PR of 2:01.88 (No. 3 in school history) in Finland … indoors, broke the 12-year-old School Record in the mile in a winning run at the Husky Classic, coming across in 4:28.14 … followed that up by running the lead-off leg on the DMR that broke the NCAA Record that UW had set one year earlier, as the Huskies lowered their own record to 10:43.39 at the Terrier DMR Challenge … at NCAA Indoors, placed 13th in the mile semis and the DMR finished 11th for two Second Team All-America honors … earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors and a spot on the Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll.
2023 Cross Country: Breakout season as she was the first or second finisher at every race for the Huskies, helping the team win a Pac-12 title and earn a top-10 NCAA finish … at her first NCAA Championships, was the top Husky finisher, placing 47th overall in 20:09 to help the team finish 8th overall … an All-Pac-12 First Team finisher as she was seventh at the conference meet in 19:34, second on the team, to help UW win its first Pac-12 title since 2009 … led the squad at NCAA West Regionals, finishing 13th overall in 19:47 to earn All-West Region … the top Dawg at the Wisconsin Invitational, finishing 40th overall in 20:39 … opened the season with an 18th-place finish, second on the squad, at the Virginia Invitational, helping UW take fourth in a loaded field … earned a spot on the Pac-12 Fall Academic Honor Roll … named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
2023 Track: Strong freshman season in the mid-distances, advancing to NCAA West Prelims in the 1,500-meters … had a 1,500m PR of 4:16.12 at the Bryan Clay Invitational to earn a Prelims ticket … finished 46th overall at West Prelims … was 12th in the 800-meters at first Pac-12 Championships, running 2:07.52 … won her section of the 800m at the Bryan Clay Invite in 2:05.80 … another heat win at the Stanford Invitational, crossing first in the 1,500m in 4:20.72 … part of the Husky 4x1500m relay at the Penn Relays, splitting a 4:17, as the team placed third, then ran on the 4x800m relay that took second overall, splitting 2:07.45 … indoors, had a 800-meters best of 2:05.71 at the Ken Shannon Last Chance Invite, going to No. 5 in school history indoors … another strong 800m time of 2:05.87 at the BU Scarlet & White Invite … won her mile heat in 4:42.20 at the UW Indoor Preview and then ran a 600-meters time of 1:31.07 good for No. 3 in UW history … another mile time of 4:42.71 at the Husky Classic … named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
2022 Cross Country: Raced three times in her first fall, finishing at the Pac-12 Championships, where she finished 44th overall and ninth on the Huskies in 20:22 … in her collegiate debut, scored for the Dawgs at the Cowboy Jamboree, finishing 52nd overall and fourth on the squad in 21:20 … also ran at the Wisconsin Invite, placing 212th overall and eighth on the team.
High School and Personal: Born in Portland, Oregon … parents are Jeff and Jane Foerster … has a twin sister, Sophia … graduated high school Magna Cum Laude and part of the National Honor Society, and was a Mock Trial Club member … won OSAA Award for Exemplary Display of Sportsmanship, Ethics, and Integrity … 2021 nominee for USA Today Cross Country and Track & Field Runner of the year … the Oregon State record-holder in the mile run when she went 4:40.27 at the 2022 Arcadia Invitational … swept the Oregon 800m and 1,500m State titles in 2022, winning the 800m in 2:09.60 and the 1500m in 4:24.39, which was a state meet record … also anchored 4x400m relay to second at state … also won the Oregon 6A state 800-meters title as a junior in 2021 in 2:05.66 and as a freshman in 2019, sweeping the meet during her career as no meet was held in 2020 … fourth at the Brooks PR Invite in 2021 in 2:05.94 … set 800m high school best of 2:05.27 at the 2021 Portland Track Festival.
