2024 Cross Country: Raced in UWβs top-three at all three championship races, helping UW return to the NCAA Championships and win the West Regional team title β¦ at NCAAs, finished 103rd overall, third on the squad, as UW placed 16th overall β¦Β was the second Husky finisher at Regionals, in ninth-place, in 29:14 as the Huskies won the title for the first time since 2015 β¦ at UWβs first trip to Big Tens, placed sixth overall and second on the squad in 22:57 for First Team All-Big Ten honors as UW placed second as a team β¦ was fourth on the team in 67th-place at the season-opening Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invite β¦ named to the Fall Academic All-Big Ten Team.
2024 Track: Outstanding redshirt freshman season, breaking the School Record in the 10,000-meters, racing at the Olympic Trials, running a sub-four-minute mile, taking a Pac-12 silver medal, and earning All-America honors β¦ won Pac-12 Menβs Track Athlete of the Week honors on Apr. 2 following his 10k School Record at the Stanford Invitational, where he got the overall victory in 28:04.58, breaking Kieran Lumbβs record from 2022 by seven seconds β¦ placed 22nd in the 10,000-meters at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene β¦ scored 9 points towards the Huskies defending their Pac-12 team title, taking runner-up in the 10,000-meters and then placing eighth in the 5,000-meters in Boulder β¦ was sixth in the 5k at the Payton Jordan Invite in a PR of 13:38.01, going to No. 5 in school history β¦ indoors, ran the lead-off 1,200m leg on the DMR at the NCAA Indoor Championships which placed ninth to earn Second Team All-America β¦ broke four minutes in the mile for the first time at the Ken Shannon Last Chance meet, running 3:59.54 β¦ went to No. 5 in school history in the 3,000-meters, going 7:46.58 at the Husky Classic for sixth β¦ also ran a quick 3k of 7:51.95 at the UW Invitational in his season debut β¦ earned both USTFCCCA All-Academic honors and Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll.
2023 Cross Country: Came up big for the men at the Pac-12 and Regional Championships with his two best races to date β¦ at the West Regional meet, placed 19th overall in 29:41 for 10k, as the No. 2 Husky finisher, his highest finish among the team β¦ earned All-West Region honors β¦ was the No. 3 Husky finisher at his first Pac-12 Championships, placing 10th overall in 23:12, to earn All-Pac-12 Second Team distinction β¦ at the season-opening Virginia Invitational, was 149th overall and fifth on the team β¦ earned a spot on the Pac-12 Fall Academic Honor Roll β¦ named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
2023 Track: Redshirted the season, competing unattached indoors and out β¦ outdoors, won the 10k at the OSU High Performance Meet on Apr. 28 with a time of 29:29.64 β¦ a strong victory in the 5k at the Portland Track Festival, going 13:54.65 on June 4 β¦ indoors, ran the 3k at the Husky Classic, placing 24th overall in 8:01.69.
2022 Cross Country: Raced once in the fall, competing at the season-opening Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater, Okla. and finishing 115th overall, good for the No. 4 Husky scorer on the day.
High School and Personal: Born in Vancouver, Washington β¦ parents are Jenna and Rick Jenkins β¦ mother ran cross country and track at the University of Oregon from 1991-95 and was a multi-time All-American as well as an Oregon state champion in high school β¦ aunt on motherβs side is former Husky All-American Tara Carlson, who ran at UW from 1993-96 and who led the Husky cross country team at the NCAA Championships three years in a row, including an 8th-place finish in 1995, and was All-Pac-12 First Team three times β¦ was fourth at the Washington 4A state meet as just a sophomore in 2019, and was 18th at Nike Cross Regionals β¦ a district champion at 800m and 1600m in 2020 β¦ in 2021, ran a 3,200m PR of 8:50.77 that ranked 12th nationally β¦ moved to Israel during the 2020-21 school year and was the Israeli U20 National Cross Country Champion β¦ raced several times in Europe in the spring of 2022, running a 1,500-meters in Belgium in 3:52.22 and a 3,000-meters in Israel in 8:17.71 β¦ considering Environmental Engineering major.
