SEATTLE – The #7 Washington Huskies won their fourth straight home game, defeating the California Golden Bears 2-1 behind Lucas Meek and Dylan Teves goals. Sam Fowler made three saves in net in another impressive performance as Washington ran its record to 9-2-0 overall and 6-2-0 in conference play.

The Huskies would outshoot Cal 16-6 in the game and only looked more dangerous after Cal's goal, outshoot Cal 9-1 over the next 45 minutes and taking the lead at 2-1. The shot totals didn't do full justice to Washington's offense, which put in dangerous ball after dangerous ball throughout the game.

Despite a deluge of offensive pressure from the Huskies, it was Cal that got on the board first, with a header goal in the 14^th minute. Washington wasn't fazed, keeping up their attack and tying it back up on Teves' fourth penalty-kick goal of the season.

Meek's goal early in the second half didn't put an end to the Husky pressure either: Washington outshot Cal 5-3 the rest of the way after taking the lead. 11 different Huskies had shots in the game, with Meek, Teves, Nick Scardina, and Imanol Rosales all recording multiple shots.

		SCORING
14' \| Cal's Alonzo Del Mundo got his head on the end of a cross, just beating Fowler's outstretched hand and sneaking the shot in under the crossbar. 24' \| Washington earned a penalty kick after a foul in the box on a wild play in the box that nearly resulted in a goal regardless. Teves fooled the keeper, slotting his shot inside the left post. 59' \| Meek scored an absolute beauty, redirecting a low cross from Ostrem made possible by a Teves screen high on the left wing.

		NOTES
Teves is now 4-for-4 on penalty kicks, the most PKs without a miss by a Husky in over 20 years. Charlie Ostrem recorded his seventh assist, the most by a Husky defender since Michael Harris recorded ten in 2013. Meek now has four goals and an assist in seven home games this season. This was the seventh time Washington has outshot the opposition by at least ten shots.
