SEATTLE – In their second game of the season, the Washington Huskies came away with another tie, shutting out Seattle U in double overtime of a 0-0 game. Dani Hansen recorded her second shutout in as many games, extending her career-long shutout streak to 240 minutes. The Huskies managed 16 shots in the game but could not score, with multiple shots hitting the frame.

The Huskies did not allow a shot on goal until the first overtime period. Washington had a number of scoring chances: Summer Yates drew a penalty in the box in the 50th minute but the penalty kick was saved away. Olivia van der Jagt sent a header off the crossbar shortly thereafter from a Yates cross, then Yates sent a shot off the right post after dribbling through a plethora of defenders late in the second half.

		NOTES
Hansen's shutout streak is the longest by a Husky keeper since Sarah Shimer's 515:54-minute shutout streak in 2017. Makena Carr had three shots and has shots on goal in each of the season's first two games. Karlee Stueckle has started her career with multiple shots in each game.

Washington hosts the annual Husky Invitational this week. The Huskies will play North Carolina on Thursday at 7:00 pm and New Mexico on Sunday at 2:00 pm. Portland will also play in the tournament, facing New Mexico on Thursday at North Carolina on Sunday, with each game taking place before Washington's games.
