The Huskies earned the third seed in the country as they try to make it three years in a row reaching the Women's College World Series. Washington earned a share of the Pac-12 championship for the first time since 2010, winning 20 Pac-12 games and going 45-7 overall in the regular season. The 20 Pac-12 wins are the second-most in school history.
This week's Regional will feature two teams that have already faced the Huskies this year in Mississippi State and Seattle U, as well as Fordham, which has only played Washington once, in 2011. Washington defeated both Mississippi State and Seattle U this season. Against those three teams, the Huskies have a combined historical record of 21-1.

ONE HUNDRED WINS | |
Taran Alvelo ended the regular season by earning her 100th career win. Alvelo is the third Husky ever to win 100 games in their career, joining Danielle Lawrie (136) and Jennifer Spediacci (100) in that regard. Both of those two pitchers have since been inducted into the Husky Hall of Fame. Alvelo is one of four active Division I pitchers with 100+ wins, along with Megan Good (JMU), Meghan King (FSU), and Kelly Barnhill (Florida). Alvelo is the first Pac-12 pitcher to win 100 games since UCLA's Ally Carda (2012-15). |

WIN THE WEEKEND | |
Washington finished off its sixth Pac-12 series sweep and seventh series win last weekend, taking all three games against Stanford. Since switching to three-game series in conference play, this is the fourth time Washington has lost one or fewer Pac-12 series and the second time in the last four years. The Huskies have never swept more Pac-12 opponents than this season and have recorded five Pac-12 sweeps just two other times in their history: 1996 and 2018. |

CAN'T LOSE IF YOU DON'T ALLOW RUNS | |
For the second year in a row, Washington finished in the nation's top five in ERA, with a mark of 1.55. Only one other team, Oklahoma, has finished in the top five each of the last two years. This was Washington's 15th year in program history with a team ERA under 2.00. The last time Washington had back-to-back years with a team ERA under 2.00 was 2009 and 2010. With postseason games still to come, this year's 472 strikeouts are the most for Washington since 2010 and the sixth-most ever. |

REYNOLDS REACHES 50 | |
Now with 50 hits on the year, Sami Reynolds becomes the seventh freshman during Heather Tarr's tenure to record 50 hits. Only two other freshmen in the Pac-12 have 50 hits this season: with two more hits, Reynolds will have the most of any Pac-12 freshman this year. |
