
Bartlow and Bodily Named First Team All-Far West Region

SEATTLE --- Sophomore defender Ethan Bartlow and junior midfielder Blake Bodily have been named First Team selections to the United Soccer Coaches All-Far West Region team as voted on by the regional coaches and announced on Monday.
Bodily ranked among the nation's best players with 12 goals and six assists on the season, earning Pac-12 Player of the Year honors--the first UW player to earn the award since 2007. In addition, he is one of 15 semifinalists for the MAC Hermann Trophy awarded to the nation's top player.

Bodily caught fire in the second half of the season, scoring eight goals over his last nine matches including a goal in each of Washington's first two playoff matches. His 12 goals are the most in a season by a Husky since Ely Allen recorded 12 in 2007 and his 30 points (12g, 6a) are the most in 13 years. Bodily tallied a point in 14 of 19 matches he played on the year and had 18 points over his last nine matches including two goals and an assist through the Husky's first two NCAA Tournament matches.
Bartlow was a key player along the back line for a Husky defense which allowed just 14 goals and posted 12 shutouts on the season. The sophomore center back was the 2019 Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year--the first Husky to win the award--and started 20 matches and was third on the team with 1,695 minutes player.Β
Bartlow had a career-best five goals on the season and added one assist, recording his first multi-goal game in Washington's 4-1 win over Marshall in the second round of the NCAA tournament, scoring on a great free kick then adding a penalty kick to ice the game.Β
Washington finished an impressive season with a 17-4-0 record, winning the second-most games in program history and reaching the NCAA Quarterfinals for the second time. As members of the regional first team, they are eligible for All-America recognition.Β
