Huskies Look To Stay Hot At Home
October 08, 2019 | Women's Soccer
SEATTLE - The Washington Huskies will host the Arizona schools this weekend, looking to continue a hot stretch of play. The Huskies are 4-1 in their last five games and started Pac-12 play 2-0-0 before falling to #2 Stanford on the road.
This will be the first time Washington has hosted either Arizona school since 2016, when Washington split the games, beating Arizona and falling in overtime to Arizona State. Last year, the Huskies dropped two road games against the schools.
Washington is looking to improve to 4-1-0 in Pac-12 play if it can get two wins this weekend. All-time, Washington is 7-4-1 against Arizona State in Seattle and 16-6-2 against Arizona at home.

PANG POWER | |
| Kaylene Pang broke the 1000-minute mark for the season and 3000-minute mark for her career this last weekend, playing all 90 against both #20 Cal and #2 Stanford. Pang is the only Husky to have played every minute of the season this year. She last sat in 2017, when she played just 56 of a possible 110 minutes off the bench against Washington State. Pang is on pace for a career-high in minutes after playing 1777 last year. | ||

TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK | |
| 16 Huskies have earned at least one point this year after Taylor Sekyra and Olivia van der Jagt picked up their first points at #20 Cal. Washington has not had more individual players earn points in a single season since 2010, when 18 Huskies had at least one point. The 12 different players who have recorded an assist this year are the most since 2010 as well, when 16 individuals did. It is the first year Washington has had ten or more players record an assist since 2011. | ||

STARTING STRONG | |
| Washington started its Pac-12 schedule 2-0-0, its first 2-0-0 start in conference play since 2010, when the Huskies went 4-4-0 in the Pac-12 and 12-7-2 overall. Washington has not won four of its first five Pac-12 games since 2014: if the Huskies win both their games this weekend, they will reach that mark. The last time Washington had a better Pac-12 start than 2-0-0 was 2000, when they started 8-0-0 in Pac-12 play. | ||
