PORTLAND, Ore. – The Washington Huskies continued their winning ways in Portland, taking a 2-1 victory over the UC Irvine Anteaters thanks to goals from Pascale Dumesnil and Olivia Van der Jagt. Washington put 11 shots on goal in the game and have had over ten shots on goal in back-to-back games.

Ameera Hussen also picked up an assist in the game, stealing a pass from UC Irvine's defenders and feeding Dumesnil for her goal. Van der Jagt and Dumesnil combined for eight shots on goal, with Van der Jagt's five shots on goal just one fewer than the entire UC Irvine team.

Siena Ruelas made five saves in goal for the Huskies while picking up her third win. Only an unfortunate bounce late in the second half marred a stalwart defensive effort from the Huskies, who dominated the ball for much of the game.

		SCORING
54:53 \| Hussen stole the ball on a pass between the central defenders, taking both with her. The sophomore centered the ball into open space for Dumesnil, who slotted it home in the low left corner. 85:49 \| The Husky defense blocked two shots in a row but an unlucky deflection on the third bounced the ball into the net to tie the game 1-1. 104:40 \| On Washington's only corner of the overtime period, Dumesnil floated a ball into the middle of the box. It was the perfect placement for Van der Jagt, who flew high to redirect it with her head into goal and win the game.

		NOTES
Washington has now scored the first goal of the game every game this season. In games they have scored, the Huskies have had the game's first goal in 18 consecutive matches. They are 13-4-1 in those matches. After scoring today, Dumesnil has recorded at least one goal and at least one assist every year of her career. Van der Jagt extended her point streak to five games with today's goal. The last Husky with a longer streak was Veronica Perez, who had six straight games with a point in 2008. This was Makena Carr's first career start. Washington has had at least 15 shots in three consecutive games. Washington has not lost in Portland since August 19, 2016, going 5-0-1 since then.
