Last-Minute Match Results in 4-0 Win

CHENEY, Wash. – In a match that was added to the schedule on Sunday, Washington men's tennis traveled to take on Eastern Washington, taking down the home team 4-0 on Monday at the Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse.
The Dawgs (13-10, 2-4 Pac-12) started strong by taking the doubles point from the Eagles (7-11, 3-5 Big Sky). At No. 1 doubles, Kawika Lam and Enzo Sommer cruised to a 6-1 win to set the tone early. Jake Douglas and Piers Foley teamed up at No. 3 doubles to clinch the point with their 6-3 victory.
In singles, the Huskies kept up their strong play. Enzo Sommer earned the first point at No. 3 singles, winning 6-4, 6-2. Senior Mitch Stewart at No. 2 singles took his match in two, 6-2, 6-3.
Freshman Jack Davis played at No. 4 singles for the first time in his career in the match against the Eagles. He played well, earning the two-set win, 6-4, 6-3. The three other matches did not finish.
The Huskies will wrap up the regular season with two Pac-12 matches on the road later this week.
