Huskies Finish 14th at The Goodwin

SAN FRANCISCO – Carl Yuan and Noah Woolsey finished tied for 32nd to pace the Washington men's golf team to a 14th place finish among 26 teams as The Goodwin wrapped up on Saturday afternoon at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco.
The Huskies struggled in the final round of the tournament, posting a 10-over 294 on the final day of the competition to finish at 15-over 867 (283-290-294).
Yuan had his best round of the tournament on Saturday, posting a 2-under 69 to finish tied for 32nd at 1-over 214 (71-74-69). The junior got off to a bit of a rough start, with a pair of bogeys over the first eight holes. But he birdied nine and added three more on the back nine to finish at 2-under.
Woolsey finished tied with Yuan at 1-over 214 (68-73-73) after his second-consecutive round of 73. The freshman had four bogeys and two birdies over the final round.
Sophomore Henry Lee finished with a 5-over 76 to place tied for 59th overall at 7-over 218 (72-70-76). Lee had a rough final round, carding six bogeys over the first 16 holes. However, he closed out strong with a pair of birdies over the final three holes for a 76.
Freshman Jan Schneider rebounded from a tough second round with a final-round 76 to finish at 15-over 227 (72-79-76). Senior Frank Garber was one stroke better overall after carding a 6-over 77 in the final round to finish at 14-over 226 (76-73-77). Playing as an individual, sophomore Shamu Bodhidatta finished at 226 (75-75-76).
The Huskies wrap up the regular season at the Western Intercollegiate on April 7-8 in Santa Cruz, California before heading to the Pac-12 Championships on April 23-25 in Los Angeles.
