Winds, Dust Cancel First Round of The Prestige
February 19, 2018 | Men's Golf
PALM SPRINGS, Calif. --- High highs and dust created unhealthy air conditions and caused the cancellation of the first round of The Prestige on Monday at PGA West. The tournament now becomes a 36-hole affair with one round each on Tuesday and Wednesday.
"I'm disappointed to not get cracking today but Mother Nature had other plans," said Head Coach Alan Murray. "The guys were able to get some practice, relax a little and play ping pong. I'm excited to get underway tomorrow."
Washington begins on the 10th hole at 9:09 am on Tuesday with Carl Yuan opening the action for the Huskies.
