Huskies Take On Mercer At Home Sunday

SEATTLE – Having already defeated Gonzaga this week, the Washington Huskies will play host to the Mercer Bears this Sunday, September 10 at 3:30 pm PT in the Salute to Service game. The Huskies are 3-1-0 this season and ranked 16th in the nation. Mercer is 0-3-2 this year.
Washington took down the #22 Gonzaga Bulldogs on Thursday of this week, winning 3-0 to remain undefeated at home. Quentin Pearson, Scott Menzies, and Elijah Rice all scored goals in that game, while Saif Kerawala faced no shots on goal in the shutout.
For Menzies and Rice, those goals gave them each two on the season, tying them for the team lead. Pearson's goal was the first of the season for the defender.
Menzies and Rice both also scored against New Mexico in the season opener.
Series History
This will be the first match ever between Washington and Mercer. The Bears will be coming to this match off a 2-1 OT defeat by Seattle, their fourth consecutive overtime game. The Bears are 0-2-2 in that time.
