May 08, 2017 | Baseball
SEATTLE - Washington (24-20, 10-11 Pac-12) will meet Seattle University (16-28-1, 6-12 WAC) for the final time this season on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. The three-game series is tied at 1-1 and tomorrow's season-series decider will be played at Husky Ballpark.
Tuesday at Husky Ballpark will be the always popular Dollar Dog Night. Hotdogs are a buck each in the concession stands.
The Huskies won the last time the teams met on April 25, 7-4, at Bannerwood Park in Bellevue. Seattle U won the first game between the two teams, 4-2, back on April 4 at Husky Ballpark.
Tuesday's matchup will feature Husky freshman left-hander Chris Micheles (1-3, 3.77) taking the hill against Redhawks sophomore lefty Tyler Oldenberg (2-1, 3.92). Micheles will be making his 12th start this year and 19th overall appearance.
Washington will try to bounce back after getting swept in Tucson, Arizona this past weekend, while Seattle U lost two-of-three in Phoenix against Grand Canyon.
UW leads the all-time series 78-52 and has won each of the last two season series. Seattle U took two of three against the Dawgs in 2014.
Washington returns to Pac-12 action on Friday, hosting the Arizona State Sun Devils in a three-game series. Prior to Sunday's game, a Mother's Day Brunch will be held in the Conibear Shellhouse. Tickets are available online here.
