
Dawgs Wrap Up Regular Season at ASU PING Invitational in Tempe

SEATTLE – The University of Washington women's golf team heads to its final regular season tournament of the 2016-17 season as it will take place in the 2017 PING/ASU Invitational this Friday-Sunday, April 7-9 at the ASU Karsten Golf Course (Par-72, 6,223 yards).
The 14-team field features No. 4 Arizona State, No. 17 Arizona, No. 20 Baylor, Kansas State, Kentucky, LSU, Missouri, Northern Arizona, New Mexico, Oregon State, San Diego State, SMU, UNLV and the Huskies.
Washington will send freshman Ellen Takada (1), freshman Karen Miyamoto (2), sophomore Wenyung Keh (3), sophomore Julianne Alvarez (4) and sophomore Sarah Rhee (5).
The Huskies are coming off of their first team title of the spring season as they most recently claimed the inaugural Hawkeye El Tigre Invitational crown on Tuesday in Puerto Vallarta finishing with a 9-over 873 thanks to a final round of 8-under 280. UW was led by freshman Ellen Takada who carded her best effort as a Husky, finishing tied for second with a 1-under 215.
Freshman Karen Miyamoto also earned her best finish in purple and golf as she tied for fifth with a 1-over 217. Washington placed four of its five in the top 25 at the event en route to their second-team title of the 2016-17 season.
The three-day tournament in Tempe will consist of 18 holes each day starting at 8 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 7:30 a.m. on Sunday. Live scoring can be found on golfstat.com.
