
Huskies Return Home to Face No. 6 Stanford

Sounders / Reign Nightย willย featureย special activationsย celebratingย the 2016ย MLS Cup Champion Seattle Sounders FC along with Seattle Reign FC.
Fans in attendance will be able to take photos with the MLS Cup and enter a raffle to win autographed memorabilia, including a Sounders jersey, aย Clint Dempsey-autographed program, and more. Sounders FC stars Cristian Roldan and Jordan Morris will be in attendance and available for fan photos with the MLS Cupย on the north side of Huskyย Soccerย Stadiumย from 7-8 p.m.ย
Tickets are available for as little as $5 (youth) and $10 (adults) and can be purchased in advance byย clicking here. Student admission isย FREEย with a valid Husky Card. Both matches are included with the price of a ticket.
Washington At A GlanceWashington picked up just one point despite playing well in a draw at Stanford and a disappointing loss at Cal. The Huskies face the same two teams this week beginning with a re-match against No. 8 Stanford on Thursday. After its tough week, the Huskies fell two spots to No. 21 in the NCAA/United Soccer Coaches poll. Washington hopes to get back into the win columm at home where the Huskies are 8-2-0 this season, outscoring opponents 24-7.
Luke Hauswirth netted Washington's lone goal in the match vs. California, an absolute rocket from just outside of the box which found the upper right V. It was the second goal of the season for the redshirt junior and third of his career. Handwalla Bwana continues to lead the team in points (17), goals (6) and assists (5).
Stanford Cardinal At A Glance
The Cardinal remain in first place in the Pac-12 after playing to a tie with Washington on Thursday and pulling out a 1-0 victory over Oregon State on Sunday. The Cardinal have allowed just one goal through its first first five confernce matches--a header by Elijah Rice in the tie with the Huskies on Thursday.
Series History
Washington leads the all-time series 34-18-6 and hold a 9-2-2 record since Jamie Clark took over at UW. Since 2007, the Huskies are 8-1-1 against Stanford at home with the Cardinal ending a nine-match unbeaten streak with a 1-0 victory on Montlake last season.
