UW Men's Tennis Season Ends with 4-3 Loss to San Diego State

MALIBU, Calif. - - The No. 30 ranked Washington men's tennis team fell to No. 26 San Diego State 4-3 this morning in the first round of the NCAA Championships held at Pepperdine University.
The Huskies started out the day strong as two of Washington's three doubles teams won. Juniors Jeremy Berman and Andy Posavac defeated Oliver Maiberger and Valentino Pest, 8-6 in strong form. Berman and Posavac end the season with a doubles record of 11-7. Freshman Matt Hanlin and senior Mark Woolley advanced past Gabe Coren and Travis Hasson, 8-6. Hanlin and Woolley finish the season with a doubles record of 13-10.
Berman posted another win for the Huskies in singles play as he volleyed past Adam Webster, 6-2, 6-4. Berman's final singles record for the season is 25-10. Woolley added a final win in his career as a Husky defeating Travis Hasson 6-3, 0-6, 6-4. Woolley ends the season with a singles record of 18-11.
The Huskies finish the 1999-2000 season with a record of 15-9.
