2019-20 (Junior): Once again named to the Dean's List for the third straight year in her Food, Nutrition and Health major while finishing with an 81.40 stroke average in two events ... after finishing tied for 83rd in the season opening WSU Cougar Cup, Ma placed 58th with a 28-over 172 in the weather shortened Edean Ihlanfeldt
2018-19 (Sophomore): Saw action in three events as an individual for the Huskies as a sophomore and kept up her academics, once again being named to the Dean's List ... in her three events she opened with a 20-over-236 to place 65th out of 90 at the Nitanny Lion Invitational ... she went on to have her best score of the season at the Edean Ihlanfeldt as she tied for 47th with her 18-over-234 ... also competing at the Mountain View Collegiate during the year, Ma posted a 21-over-237 to place 76th
2017-18 (Freshman): Competed in two events for the Dawgs with an 81.00 stroke average over six rounds ... after tying for 54th at the Edean Ihlanfeldt (30-over-236) ... earned a tie for 45th out of 80 at the Pat Lesser Harbottle with her 5-over 221 (77-77-83) ... named to the Dean's List her first year at UW
Prior to UW: Ma, originally from Jiangsu, China, spent time on the Future Collegians World Tour recording top five finishes at two events during the 2014-15 season ... was also invited to compete at the 2016 GolfWeek International Junior Invitational.
Junior Wenyan Ma has been with the University of Washington women's golf program for three seasons coming all the way from Guangdong, China. She's consistently been on the UW Dean's List and has a 3.8 GPA as a Food, Nutrition and Health major. MaoMao is what she's known as by her teammates and has competed in seven events for the Dawgs.
