2011: Redshirted the season to preserve a year of eligibility ... competed unattached in the pole vault three times indoors and once outdoors ... cleared 10-feet for the first time outdoors, going 10-4 at the Spring Break Open ... indoor best was 9-11 ¾ at the UW Indoor Open.
High School and Personal: Born in Seattle ... mother is Lara Whiteside and father is Eric Carlson ... has one older brother, E.J., and one younger sister, Alexandra ... qualified for the Washington 2A State Championships in the pole vault, 100-meters, and 4x100m relay as a senior in 2010 ... took third at state in the pole vault her senior year, clearing 11-0, and finished eighth in the 100-meters and ninth in the 4x100m ... won the Olympic League title in 2010 in the vault and 100-meters ... went 10-2 to win a Club Northwest All-Comers Meet in June of 2010 ... team captain her senior year ... her junior year, won the district title with an 11-0 clearance, won the Olympic league, and placed sixth at state ... raised her PR by a foot and a half between sophomore and junior years ... fourth at state as a sophomore in 2008 ... graduated with a 3.65 grade point average.
