High School and Personal: Born in Portland, Oregon ... mother and father are Constance and Dana Olsen ... has two older sisters, Anika and Bergitte ... had 10-straigth first place finishes in the pole vault as a senior, leading up to a fifth-place finish at the 6A Oregon State meet ... went from a PR of 12-6 as a junior up to a school-record 14-10 as a senior ... set his prep PR at the Tacoma Freedom Fair Beach Vault in July of 2010 ... won the 2010 Pasco Invite pole vault with a clearance of 14-6 ... won the 46th Centennial Invitational vault in Gresham, Ore. ... also threw the javelin, taking sixth at the district meet as a senior ... competed four years on the Lincoln High sailing team, and was team captain ... also played two years on the school's drumline ... graduated with a 3.8 GPA.
