High School/Personal: Hauswirth played his club soccer for the Minnesota Thunder Academy... He is the backbone of the team that currently sits in fifth place in the Mid-America Division of the U.S. Development Academy.... Chose UW because of how much he enjoyed the visits on campus with the team, coaches, and other staff members at the University....Was confident about choosing UW not only for continuing his soccer career, but also because of the high academic standards and opportunities available...The team’s success in the past couple of years is yet another thing that influenced Hauswirth’s college decision...
Clark on Hauswirth: "Luke is a great defender that can play a variety of roles for our team. He's a great soccer player and understands the game very well. He’s solidified himself as a key player on the team last fall and will likely find himself anchoring the midfield this year.”
