Pre-UW (High School): Carter III is a 6-foot-4 guard out of O'Dea High School in Seattle where he spent his junior and senior seasons ... as a senior, he averaged 17 points leading the Fighting Irish to the Class 3A state championship in 2016 ... graduated following the state title and spent the 2016-17 season with the Elite Sports Academy in Issaquah.
From Coach Hop:
"Michael is obviously a high level player. He's one of those kids that keeps getting better and better. He has grown nearly eight inches over the last couple of years to be at 6-5 now as a guard. He can really shoot the ball and make plays off the bounce. He's a matchup nightmare at his position due to his size and length. He's a guy who we believe in the future will be one of the great Huskies."
