Da’Mon Perry II has joined the Washington Men’s Basketball staff as Director of Player Development as of August 2014.
Prior to joining the official UW staff, Perry worked as a graduate assistant for the Huskies during the 2013-14 season. The previous year, he earned valuable experience as an assistant coach at Price High School in Los Angeles, helping them reach the quarterfinals of their section tournament.
Perry attended and played college basketball at Whittier College, a Division III school in Whittier, California. During his junior and senior seasons, he earned Second-Team All-Conference honors and started every game. In his three seasons playing at Whittier, he averaged 10.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
Perry graduated in 2012 with a major in Sports Management and a minor in Business Administration. He went on to earn his Masters Degree in 2014 through the Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership Program at the University of Washington, a program that sees 21 percent of its graduates go on to work as coaches.
Raised in Los Angeles, California, Perry played high school basketball at Price High School where he earned first-team All-Conference and All-League honors as a junior and senior. He was also teammate with Husky basketball alum Tyreese Breshers.
