2022-23 (Track At Washington): The Pac-12 Champion at 800-meters, running the No. 2 time in school history in the final, 1:46.77 … chose to focus on the 800m over the 1500m at NCAAs, advancing to the final site with a West Prelims quarterfinal run of 1:47.00 … NCAA season ended in unfortunate fashion, as he qualified for the 800-meters final at NCAA Outdoors with a semifinal time of 1:47.37, but was later disqualified for stepping on the lane line in the opening turn ... would go on to the USA Outdoor Championships, switching to the 1,500-meters, and placing 18th overall in 3:42.87 in the prelims ... signed his first pro contract with On Athletics ... opened his outdoor season with a win in the 1,500m at the Stanford Invite in 3:40.81 … indoors, competed unattached, but twice ran times that would have broken school records if he’d had eligibility … first was a 1,000-meters time of 2:18.48 at the UW Indoor Preview … then ran an 800-meters time of 1:46.77 to win the Husky Classic … was part of UW’s two historic eight-man sub-four mile races, first going 3:53.84 to take fifth at the UW Invitational, then going 3:53.13 at the BU Last Chance Qualifier ... earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors ... 2021-22 (Track At Princeton): The NCAA bronze medalist in the NCAA 1,500-meter final that included three future Husky teammates, earning First Team All-America honors … set his 1,500m PR in the NCAA semis at 3:37.60, a Princeton School Record … advanced to Eugene by taking sixth in the East Prelim quarterfinals in 3:41.31 … competed at the U.S. Outdoor Championships, placing 11th in his prelim 1,500m heat … won the Princeton Invite 1,500m in 3:39.54 … indoors, earned First Team All-America on the Princeton distance medley relay that finished fourth at NCAA Indoors and set the Ivy League record … won the Ivy League indoor titles in the 800m and the mile … set a School Record in the mile of 3:56.87 at the BU David Hemery Valentine Invite, and ran an indoor 800m best of 1:48.32 at the Sykes & Sabock Invite … ran at UW’s Dempsey Indoor in January taking third in the mile in 3:57.02 … (Cross Country At Princeton): Completed one race, taking fifth at the Lehigh Paul Short Run.

2019-20 (Track At Princeton): Earned All-America honors indoors by qualifying to nationals in the mile prior to the meet being canceled … named USTFCCCA Indoor Men’s Track Region Athlete of the Year … final meet before season was canceled was the Ivy League Indoors, where he won the 1,000-meters title in 2:25.65, and ran on the winning DMR … took second in the mile at the BU David Hemery Valentine Invite in 3:57.66, an NCAA qualifying time … set a 1k PR of 2:22.26 at the H-Y-P … (Cross Country At Princeton): Placed 66th at the Ivy League XC Championships … finished 88th at the Wisconsin Nuttycombe Invitational.
2018-19 (Track At Princeton): Qualified for NCAA East Prelims in the 1,500-meters, placing 25th overall in the first round in 3:48.23 … placed third at the Ivy League Outdoor Champs in the 1,500-meters and fifth on the 4x800m relay … ran the 1,500m at Penn Relays in 3:48.31 … indoors, was fourth in the Ivy League Indoor mile final in 4:07.76 and third on the 4x800y … season-best mile of 4:02.93 … (Cross Country At Princeton): Raced at Ivy Leagues, placing 69th in 26:26 … also ran at the Princeton XC Invite, finishing 71st.
2017-18 (Track At Princeton): Freshman season capped off at IC4A/ECAC Outdoors, placing 31st overall in the 800-meters … made the Ivy League Outdoor final at 800-meters, taking seventh in 1:50.96 … at Ivy League Indoors, was fourth in the 800-meters final in 1:53.53 … won the Villanova Invite 800m in 1:50.98 … did not compete in cross country in the fall.
High School and Personal: Born in Memphis, Tennessee … parents are Duran and John Ellis … an eight-time all-state track & field athlete, won three 800-meter and 1600-meter state championships ... was the 2016 5A state champion in cross country and was named all-state in cross country three times, and twice earned all-metro honors both cross country and track ... competed at both the New Balance Indoor and Outdoor Nationals in 2017, placing 9th in the 800m indoors and 11 in the 800m outdoors and ... set the school records in the 800, 1600, 5k and high jump and is the 5A state record holder in the 800 meters … an International Baccalaureate diploma recipient … National Honor Society President … Bailey Scholarship for Outstanding Student-Athlete recipient.
