Hi GymDawg Fans,
It is hard to believe that we have less than one month until competition season. Sunday we had our annual intrasquad in the Bank of America Arena. It was fun to be back down in front of our fans again; thank you so much for everyone who came to watch. We really appreciate your support.
It was great to see the level of difficulty increase in our routines. Kristen Omori successfully made her triple twist on floor, and her handstand-layout-layout on beam. Ashley added a full twisting double pike to her floor routine which was awesome! I was really impressed with everyone who competed Sunday, especially the freshmen who were getting their first taste of what it is like to compete for the University of Washington.
As we get closer to the start of the season we are all really working on perfecting the little things in our routines that will set us apart from everyone else. But, before we start our season we get a break to go home and be with our family to share the holidays. I hope that everyone has a safe and happy holiday season. Go GymDawgs!
