COLUMBUS — Washington delivered a statement win over No. 19 Ohio State on Saturday afternoon, posting its highest team score of the season in a 196.475–196.300 victory. Leading the way was MVP Kira Bolden, who turned in a standout performance across multiple events.
The Huskies opened the meet on bars, posting a 49.000. Mary McDonough and Lilly Tubbs led the rotation with matching scores of 9.850 to share the event title. Caitlin McWilliams and Deiah Moody each recorded 9.775, with McWilliams earning a new season-high. Kristin Lin and Olivia Oppegard added 9.750 to complete the lineup.
Washington carried the momentum to vault, where the GymDawgs recorded a season-best 49.100. Bolden led the way with a career-high 9.875 to claim the event title. Jessica Schaffer and Tubbs followed closely with 9.850, earning a tie for second overall. The score marked a career-high for Schaffer and season-high for Tubbs, while Lin contributed a 9.775.
The GymDawgs continued to build on their success on floor, posting their highest rotation score of the night with a 49.225. Bolden wowed the crowd with a career-high 9.925, tying for second overall. Lin added a 9.875, while McDonough contributed a 9.850.
The Huskies closed strong on beam with a 49.150, its second-highest event score of the meet. Moody captured the event title with a 9.900, matching her career-high. Chelsea Hallinan and Tubbs each recorded 9.850 to tie for third overall, while Lana Navarro contributed a 9.800. The rotation was highlighted by a series of confident routines and stuck landings.
Lin capped off the night with a 39.050 in the all-around.
