
UW In Tie For Ninth After First Round Of Southwestern Invitational

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. – Washington men's golf sits in a tie for ninth following the first round of the Southwestern Invitational at North Ranch Country Club.
In his collegiate debut, Emil Herstad fired a 1-over (71) that was highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 15th hole. Jack Murphy joined him on the leaderboard to sit in a tie for 22nd.
After a tough start on the front nine, Jake Foley bounced back with an even par inward nine to shoot 5-over (75) for the round. Jacob Goode went 37-38 enroute to a 75 (+5).
Rounding out the starting five, Finn Koelle shot an 8-over (78) to place in a tie for 65th alongside Brock Maulding, who is playing as an individual.
Washington will play alongside San Jose State and SMU beginning at 8:30 a.m. PT off hole No. 10 for the second round. Live scoring can be found on Clippd.
