
2026 Season Begins In Hawaii

SEATTLE – The 2026 spring season gets underway as the No. 22 Washington women's tennis team heads to Hawaii on Wednesday at 6 p.m. PT.

Washington is coming off a 21-5 overall record in 2024-25, including 11-2 in Big Ten action. The Dawgs made its 20th postseason appearance – sixth under head coach Robin Stephenson – and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. UW finished the season ranked 18th in the ITA poll.
This fall, five Dawgs made the NCAA Singles & Doubles Individual Championship in Reece Carter (singles), Alexia Jacobs (doubles), Erika Matsuda (singles & doubles), Carina Syrtveit (doubles) ad Marie Weissheim (doubles). Matsuda became the 11th Husky all-time to compete in both singles and doubles.
In the ITA rankings, Carter and Matsuda rank 43rd and 66th respectively in singles while Matsuda and doubles partner Syrtveit are 67th.
