
Aman Named MAC Hermann Trophy Finalist

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Richie Aman has been named a Hermann Trophy finalist, based on voting by NCAA Division I men's soccer coaches and announced by United Soccer Coaches.
The three finalists are University of Washington senior Richie Aman (Hanover, N.H.), Grand Canyon University freshman Junior Diouf (Thies, Senegal) and NC State University junior Donavan Phillip (Castries, Saint Lucia).
Aman becomes Washington's second ever finalist for the award, joining Dylan Tevez in 2021.
Aman led Washington with 14 assists, helping the Huskies to a 16-6-2 record and the program's first NCAA national title. Diouf scored 18 goals to lead all NCAA Division I men in that category and registered 42 points this season in establishing school records and guiding the team to a 14-4-5 overall mark. Phillip tallied 17 goals in leading the Wolfpack to the NCAA College Cup.
Aman powered Washington's NCAA Championship run, tallying the second-most assists in a single season in program history while leading the Huskies to the Championship. The Big Ten Midfielder of the Year recorded his 14th assist of the season in the College Cup Final.
Aman has been widely recognized as one of the best collegiate men's soccer players in the nation. He's collected a number of accolades, including First Team All-America honors, First Team All-Big Ten, and First Team Academic All-America recognition.
The MAC Hermann Trophy, the most coveted individual honor in NCAA Division I soccer, has been awarded annually since 1967. The 2025 MAC Hermann Trophy banquet will be held at the historic Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis on Jan. 9, 2026, to formally announce this year's winners.
