SEATTLE – UW women's golf head coach Anna Temple has announced the addition of two more Huskies that will join the Dawgs in the fall of 2026 -- Ha Young Chang and Hannah Ounap.
HA YOUNG CHANG
Ha Young Chang, a native of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, will join the Huskies in fall of 2026.
"I'm extremely excited to welcome Ha Young to the program," Temple said. "She has a lot of experience both in Canada and in the U.S. and has a competitive fire and great work ethic. She will be a fantastic addition to our team and I'm excited for her to get to campus in the fall."
At the age of 16, Chang won first place in the GolfBC Group BC Women's Open in the amateur division, where she also earned third place overall (including pro division).
She also won the Order of Merit, in winning the Vancouver Golf Tour Winter Season for the championship division. While playing at the 119th Women's Amateur at Balfour Golf Course, Chang finished second overall, on her way to breaking a course record with a score of 65 (-7).
Chang was also the runner-up at the Junior (U19) Championships in Kelowna, British Columbia.
HANNAH OUNAP
Hannah Ounap, originally from Cults, United Kingdom, will join the Huskies for the 2026-27 season with an abundance of high-level golf experience overseas.
"I'm thrilled to welcome Hannah to our program," Temple said. "Hannah has an interesting story, graduating high school early and completing her bachelor's degree this year at the age of 17. She has a lot of experience in Europe, representing Scotland, and will bring a lot of that experience and passion for the game."
Most recently in October 2025, Ounap finished first at the SGF Fairmont Girls Open (-8), as well as earning a third-place finish in the Scottish Women's Amateur Championship.
Earlier this year, she claimed the overall title at the ProDream USA Junior Masters in Glasgow, Scotland at the Pollok Golf Club. There, she notched three solid rounds of 69, 74, and 70, concluding the tournament six under par and at the top of both the boys' and girls' leaderboards.
Ounap also came out on top of the Girls' Junior Quaich at the beginning of June. Competing at the Newmachar Golf Club in Aberdeen, Scotland, Ounap claimed the title with a 149 total (+4).
Ounap has secured multiple top 10 performances on the international stage, largely competing in Scotland.
