Williams Jr. Among Davey O’Brien Class Of 2025

SEATTLE – Demond Williams Jr. has been named to the Davey O'Brien Class of 2025, The Davey O'Brien Foundation unveiled today.
Williams Jr. is one of five sophomores on the list and one of six quarterbacks from the Big Ten Conference.
This season, Williams Jr. has thrown for 14 touchdowns while rushing for four. He became the 16th player in FBS history to throw for 400-yards and rush for 100-yards in a game, doing so against Rutgers. Williams Jr. ranks fourth nationally in completion percentage (73.1%) and total offense (318.3). In addition, he is in the Top 15 in the nation is passing efficiency (170.0), passing yards (2,117) and yards per pass attempt (9.49).
He's racked up numerous in-season awards as a two-time Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, three-time Davey O'Brien Great 8 nominee, Maxwell Award Player of the Week (Oct. 14) and Davey O'Brien National Quarterback of the Week (Oct. 14).
The semifinalists will be named on Wednesday, Nov. 12. The Foundation will announce the three finalists on Nov. 25. The 2025 Davey O'Brien Award winner will be unveiled live on ESPN on Friday, Dec. 12 during The Home Depot College Football Awards.
