Huskies Unveil Full 2026 Football Schedule
January 27, 2026 | Football
Anticipation for the 2026 Washington football season took another step up today as the Big Ten Conference announced the league's full schedule, revealing the order of the coming fall's slate of games for the first time.
The Huskies' non-conference schedule had already been set, and the Big Ten had previously announced which conference opponents the Dawgs would face at home and on the road in 2026.
Washington will open the season with four September home games, beginning with the annual Apple Cup game vs. Washington State on Sept. 5. That contest is followed by visits from Utah State (Sept. 12) and Eastern Washington (Sept. 19) the following two Saturdays. On Sept. 26, the Huskies open conference play vs. Minnesota, marking the first meeting between the two old rivals since 1977, and the Golden Gophers' first trip to Seattle since 1976.
October kicks off with a trip to USC on Saturday, Oct. 3, and the following week, the Huskies play host to Iowa, which will be making its third-ever appearance in Seattle, and first since 1963.
Washington travels to Purdue on Oct. 17 and then has an off week (Oct. 24) before returning to the road to face Nebraska in Lincoln on Oct. 31. Nebraska will also be coming off of a bye week, the only time all season that Washington will play a team after a bye.
November's schedule gets underway when Penn State travels to Husky Stadium – the Nittany Lions' first game at UW since 1921. That game, 105 years ago, was just the seventh ever played at Husky Stadium.
Washington heads to Michigan State for a Nov. 14 date before returning home to face defending national champion Indiana in the home season finale, marking the third year in a row that the Huskies played host to the defending College Football Playoff champ.
The regular season concludes with a trip to Oregon to face the Ducks on Nov. 28.
Please note that all games, other than the trips to USC and Nebraska, are subject to be moved to Friday. Those changes will be announced late spring or early summer.
