Plum Wins Gold, Whitcomb Grabs Bronze At 2024 Paris Olympics

PARIS, France – Washington women's basketball alumnae Kelsey Plum (2017) has won gold with Team USA, while Sami Whitcomb (2010) and Team Australia secured bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympics on the final day of the Olympic Games.
This is Plum's second Olympic medal, as she won gold with Team USA in 3x3 at the Tokyo Games. This was Whitcomb's first Olympic Games.
Plum and Team USA faced France in the gold medal game, claiming their 8th-straight Olympic gold medal.
Whitcomb and Team Australia faced Belgium in the bronze medal game, making their first podium since the 2012 London Games. Whitcomb started in every game during the Olympics for Australia.
Friday, the Dawgs faced each other when the United States and Australia met up in the Semifinals, with the USA coming out on top to secure their 60th Olympic win in a row. After Sunday's win, Team USA has 61-straight Olympic wins.
