Metroplex Challenge Up Next For GymDawgs

FORT WORTH, Texas – Washington will face three of the top gymnastics teams in the country Saturday night as the Huskies head to Fort Worth, Texas on Saturday for the Metroplex Challenge.
The meet will begin at 5 p.m. PT/7 p.m. CT and will not be live streamed.
Skylar Killough-Wilhelm earned her second career Pac-12 Coaches Choice of the Week award earlier this week (Feb. 13), the first conference weekly award for the Huskies this season. The senior set a new career-high 39.575 all-around at Stanford on Monday, Feb. 5.
Killough-Wilhelm is tied for 15th in the country on beam where she has earned a 9.925 three times this season.
Emily Innes earned a new career-high on beam last time out against Utah on Feb. 10 with her 9.9 (third overall on beam). She followed up that performance with another 9.9 on floor.
Taylor Russon was among 9.9+ scorers as well, matching her career-high 9.9 on the unevens in the anchor spot for her second 9.9+ score of her senior campaign. Russon also made her floor season debut and scored a 9.825.

The two-time defending national champion Sooners started the year ranked No. 1 in the preseason and have not shifted lower than the top spot. Oklahoma holds a season-high 198.450 and is in the top two nationally across all four events.
The Sooners are led by all-arounder Jordan Bowers, who holds a 39.775 all-around season-best score. Katherine LeVasseur is also tied for 9th all-around in the nation with a 39.725 all-around season-high.
Bowers is in the top 10 on bars (No. 1), beam (tied for No. 8) and floor (tied for 4th).

The Huskies faced Cal in Seattle earlier this season where the Bears won the meet, 197.875-196.050.
The Bears earned a season-best 197.950 at home against Oregon State earlier this year.
Cal is led by Mya Lauzon who is No. 2 in the nation all-around with a 39.775 season-best. Lauzon is also second in the country on vault, second on beam and tied for No. 2 on floor.

Floor Ranking: No. 9
The Razorbacks have hit the 197 mark three times this season, hitting a high of 197.525 at Alabama in their second meet of the season.
