SEATTLE – In a back-and-forth battle, Washington dropped its second match of the season 3-2 at Seattle U on Thursday night.

In the 43rd minute, Seattle U scored the first goal of the match off a free kick for the 1-0 advantage.

Down a goal, Washington responded in the second half as Richie Aman drove the ball up the field and found Peter Kingston open to level the match. The goal is the first of the season for Kingston.

A hand ball in the box drew the penalty kick for Seattle U that they converted to retake the lead, 2-1.

The Huskies responded quickly with a goal in the 70th minute. On the attach, Aman sent the ball into the box looking for Bryan Iliohan who sent it back to Harrison Bertos for his first career goal to tie the match once again at two goals apiece. The pair of assists are a career-high for Aman.

Seattle U scored the match-winner in the 85th to take the Fewing Cup for the second time since play for the cup began in 2016.

Washington out-shot the Redhawks 15 to 13 on the night with Kingston leading the way with six, while Aman and Iliohan tallied three.
