Iliohan Notches Brace, Huskies Shutout USF In Season Opener

SEATTLE – No. 6/3 Washington men's soccer (1-0-0) picked up its first win of the season in a 2-0 victory over South Florida on Thursday at Husky Soccer Stadium.
After coming in as a sub in the 35th minute, Bryan Iliohan scored the first goal of the season in the 39th off assists by Kalani Kossa-Rienzi and Peter Kingston. Iliohan notched his second of the night on a cross by Christian Soto to put the Huskies up two in the 65th.
Sam Fowler stopped all three shots faced to pick up his 26th career shutout to move within one of third place in program history.
The Huskies out-shot the Bulls eight to six while Washington had six corners.
Up next, Washington will face San Diego on Sunday with a 4 p.m. kickoff at home. The game will air on Pac-12 Insider.
