Washington Falls to Arizona in Game Two in Tucson

Kiefer Lord took the loss, allowing seven runs on seven hits. Reilly McAdams allowed one earned run over 2.1 innings of relief. Grant Cunningham allowed a pair of runs over three innings out of the bullpen, while Isaac Yeager retired the only batter he faced.
Coby Morales gave the Huskies a brief lead in the first, driving a single up the middle to bring home Will Simpson. However, a two-run home run in the home half quickly made it 2-1 Arizona.
After adding one in the second, the Wildcats struck for five in the third to take a commanding 8-1 advantage.
Michael Snyder's RBI double in the fourth got one run back and the Huskies chipped away to cut the deficit down to four in the fifth with back-to-back run-scoring groundouts from Simpson and Johnny Tincher.
The budding momentum was extinguished in the bottom half as Arizona capitalized on a pair of Husky errors to score two unearned runs and went on to add another in the sixth.
Arizona capped things off with a solo homer in the eighth, setting up a rubber match for Saturday afternoon.
QUICK HITS
• AJ Guerrero and Cam Clayton both posted a pair of knocks for their 12th and 11th respective multi-hit games of the season.
• With his first inning single, Coby Morales extended his hitting streak to six games.
