SEATTLE โ Jared Engman gave the Huskies seven scoreless innings and the offense did enough to get the win as Washington (25-13, 11-9 Pac-12) secured the series sweep over USC (25-17-1, 11-10 Pac-12) with a 4-1 victory on Montlake.

Engman struck out four over his seven innings and scattered the two hits and four hits he allowed around to hold the Trojans at bay. Sam Boyle allowed one run in relief, while Reilly McAdams and Josh Emanuels combined to get the final three outs.

Scoring on Sunday got started the way Saturday's affair finished, with Coby Morales driving in Will Simpson, this time with a single the other way to left to put UW up 1-0 after three.

As Engman continued to set down the Trojans on the other side, Johnny Tincher doubled the Husky lead in the fifth, flaring a single into center field to bring in Simpson and put the Dawgs ahead 2-0.

Simpson scored his third run of the game in the seventh and he did it all on his own, pummeling a solo home run 415 fee to left.

The Huskies tacked on a run of insurance in the eighth largely due to Dalton Chandler's legs. Jeter Ybarra led off with a walk and was replaced by Chandler. Chandler then stole second, advanced to third on a fly ball and dodged a tag at the plate on a fielder's choice, putting UW up 4-0.

Boyle ran into rouble in the ninth, allowing a walk sandwiched by two singles to load the bases. McAdams came on and got a pop out and fly out to limit the damage to one and Emanuels induced a fly ball to center to secure the save and the win.
