
Husky Trio Hits Stanford For Supers

SEATTLE – Washington's top three returners are set to hit the courts at Stanford this weekend for the annual ITA Northwest Super Regional Championships, held at the Taube Tennis Stadium. Cesar Bouchelaghem, Han-Chih Lin, and Dzianis Zharyn will be battling the best players from the region trying to earn qualifying bids to the ITA Fall Nationals.
The tournament runs from Friday, Oct. 20 through Monday, Oct. 23. This will be the fall season debuts for Lin and Bouchelaghem, and the second tournament for Zharyn.
Competition will include players from three Pac-12 schools: Stanford, California, and Oregon, along with Portland, Pacific, Santa Clara, Sacramento State, Gonzaga, UC Davis, and Portland State.
Bouchelaghem, ranked 41st nationally in the preseason rankings, is the No. 3 seed in the singles draw, while Zharyn, ranked 91st, is the No. 5 seed. The two are also the No. 1-seed in the doubles draw, as they are ranked 16th nationally.
