Washington vs. No. 11 California, 3 p.m.
SEATTLE -- Coming off their one and only home weekend, the Beach Dawgs are right back on the road this week, with perhaps their most challenging weekend yet to close out the regular season. Washington (10-15) treks to Stanford for the second time this season for four matches, three of which come against teams ranked in the top-11 nationally. Streaming will be available for only the match against Stanford.
Washington is receiving votes in this week's AVCA poll, the second team outside of the top-20. UW will be challenged this weekend, starting Saturday with a double-header against Saint Mary's at 9 a.m., and then against No. 8 Stanford at 1 p.m. Sunday the Huskies take on No. 7 Grand Canyon at 9 a.m. and then close the trip against 11th-ranked Cal at 3 p.m.
Saint Mary's is the only team the Huskies have not seen so far this season. The Gaels are 15-12 this year and have earned a 3-2 win over Oregon but lost 5-0 in matches against Stanford and UCLA from the Pac-12.
The Dawgs are looking to pick up their first win over the Cardinal after a 5-0 loss in the first meeting and a 4-1 loss in the rematch. UW also had a 4-1 loss to Grand Canyon in a previous meeting in March. Against Cal, it will be the Bears trying to avenge a 3-2 Husky win back on Mar. 27. Cal and Hawaii are the two ranked teams the Huskies have upset this season.
