SEATTLE -- With the Dempsey Indoor facility still recovering from last weekend's UW Invitational and prepping for the Husky Classic in another week, small groups of UW sprinters and throwers are on the move this weekend. The sprints group is heading east to Spokane to compete in the WSU Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 5. Then a select group of throwers are on their way to Lincoln, Neb. for the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational, which goes this Friday and Saturday, Feb. 4-5.

First in action will be the Husky weight throwers, on Friday in Nebraska. Jayden White, Connor Jost, Sam Van Peursem, and Beatrice Asomaning will all be on hand. The men's weight throw starts at 2 p.m. Pacific time and the women start at 4:15 p.m.

Saturday in Nebraska, Van Peursem and MaKayla Kelby will compete in the shot put, starting at 10:10 a.m. for Kelby and 12:30 p.m. for Van Peursem.

Sprinters in action on Saturday in Spokane will include Jonathan Birchman, Cass Elliott, Anthony Smith, Matt Wilkinson, Victoria Gersch, Danielle Hunter, Marlena Preigh, Olivia Ribera, and Aaliyah Wilson.
