UW Women Head To Gunrock Invitational In Sacramento

The Washington women's golf team plays its second event of the 2022 spring season next Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 28-March 1, at the Gunrock Invitational, at Del Paso Country Club in Sacramento, Calif.

The two-day tournament, hosted by UC Davis, gets underway Monday, when the teams will play two rounds, and concludes with the third round on Tuesday, March 1. Del Paso has played host to two U.S. Women's Amateur Championships and the 1982 U.S. Women's Open. More recently, it was home to the 2015 U.S. Senior Open.

Washington will send the following lineup to Sacramento:

2. Kennedy Knox
3. Camille Boyd
4. Stefanie Deng
5. Brittany Kwon

The UW women opened the spring two weeks earlier, at The Show at Spanish Trail in Las Vegas, were the Huskies came on in the third round to finish fifth in windy conditions. Following next week's tournament in Sacramento, the Huskies get back to it the following Monday and Tuesday, March 7-8, at the Juli Inkster Invitational, in Fairfax, Calif.
