SEATTLE – The offense blew up in the third inning as the #5 Washington Huskies finished off the sweep of the Utah Utes with an 11-4 win. Washington had 11 baserunners in the third and fourth innings after starting the game 1-for-7 to build a big lead. The win gave Washington a four-game sweep in the series against Utah.

Washington improves to 39-9 with the win and 16-4 in Pac-12 play. The Huskies finish their regular-season home schedule with a 17-1 record at Husky Softball Stadium.

Eight different Huskies scored runs, including seven of nine starters. Eight of Washington's nine starters had hits in the game as Washington mashed 13 hits, including seven extra-base hits. Sami Reynolds, Baylee Klingler, Kelley Lynch, and Kaija Gibson all had multiple RBI, led by Reynolds' three.

Gabbie Plain threw six innings in the circle, giving up four hits and one run. Three of those four hits came in the second inning: Plain retired 12 of the 13 batters she faced outside of that inning.

		SCORING
Second Inning: Utah had two close-call singles to start a rally, beating a throw at first by inches, then singling on a bunt that died near the first-base line. An RBI single up the middle made it 1-0. Third Inning: Washington broke out in the third inning, with seven straight batters reaching base safely and eight of the first nine to come to the plate. In all, the Huskies would score seven runs and send 12 batters to the plate in their biggest inning since March 27 against Arizona State. Fourth Inning: Flores' second hit of the day was an RBI double to extend the lead to 8-1. Megan Vandegrift would pinch run and score on a sacrifice fly two batters later. Fifth Inning: A two-run triple by Utah extended the game, taking the run rule out of effect. An RBI single followed to make it 9-4. Sixth Inning: Reynolds' 11^th home run of the season brought two more runs home for the Huskies, making it 11-4.

		NOTES
Klingler (3x4, 3 R, 2 2B, 2 RBI) became the first Husky since Ali Aguilar in 2017 to scored 50 runs and drive in 50 in the same season. Klingler had multiple hits in three of four games this weekend, hitting .667. Bates (1x4, R) and Klingler became the first two players in the Pac-12 to score 50 runs this year. Flores (2x4, 2B, RBI) is now just one RBI behind Kristen Rivera for second in Washington history. Reynolds (2x4, 2 R, HR, 3 RBI) scored her 100^th career run. In her last eight home games, Reynolds has four homers. Lynch (1x3, 2 RBI) hit .416 with three runs and seven RBI this weekend. Plain (6.0 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 5 K) tied Kaitlin Inglesby for seventh in Husky history in wins with her 83^rd.

The regular season ends on the road as Washington plays Stanford next weekend on the Pac-12 Network. That series begins Thursday, May 13.
