PULLMAN, Wash. – The #24 Washington Huskies put together a spectacle of offensive pressure but couldn't quite break the seal, taking a 0-0 tie with the Washington State Cougars to end the regular season. Washington outshot the Cougars 24-5 overall, allowing only one shot on goal in 110 minutes.

Olivia Sekany recorded her eighth shutout of the season, lowering her GAA to 0.68. That ties the lowest full-season mark in Husky history by a starting keeper, matching Hope Solo in 2001.

Two different Huskies outshot the Cougars by themselves: Ameera Hussen led the way with seven shots, five on goal, while Ruby Hellstrom had six shots in the game. Six different Huskies had multiple shots. The 24-5 shot advantage was Washington's biggest against Washington State since 1997, while the 24 shots are the most against Washington State in Husky history.

Just about every Husky was a part of at least one dangerous chance. Mary Johnston sent a shot off the top of the crossbar early in the second half. Summer Yates nearly scored on almost all of her four shots, including a header while facing away from goal that nearly took the keeper by surprise.

In overtime, Hussen, Karlee Stueckle, and Olivia Van der Jagt came up big for the Huskies with some dangerous chances. Stueckle had a rocket of a shot just before the defense could get to a loose ball in the box, but it went right into the keeper's body. Hussen had a shot in the 103^rd minute that was headed for the corner of the net before being just barely touched off the post by the keeper.

Van der Jagt's shot was the last scoring chance of the game and may have been the most dangerous. The senior ripped a hard line drive of a shot on the run that looked destined for the upper corner, only to be punched up and over.

		NOTES
Sekany extended her shutout streak to 388 minutes. The seven shots matched Hussen's career high, set earlier this year against SPU, while the five shots on goal were a new career high. Johnston made a defensive save on WSU's only shot on goal in the game. Hellstrom's six shots match a career high, set August 24, 2019 against Portland.
