SEATTLE – The #22 Washington Huskies played another heart-pumping game, winning 2-1 over the #24 Cal Bears on Sunday. Washington trailed at the half but fought back with two second-half goals, with the gamewinner from Sianna Siemonsma coming in the 83^rd minute.

Washington moves to 5-1-2 on the season and 2-1-2 in Pac-12 play with the win. The Huskies still have not allowed multiple goals in a game this season. Washington has outshot the opposition in seven of its eight games this year after outshooting Cal 15-10 today.

Summer Yates had two assists in the game, her second multi-point game of the season. Ameera Hussen had the other Husky goal, a beautiful curler in the 66^th minute.

The Huskies trailed 1-0 at the half but took over in the second 45. Washington allowed only three shots in the second half and none on goal in that time, outshooting Cal 7-3. All three of those shots by Cal came by the 60^th minute: Washington did not allow a single shot in the final 30 minutes, scoring both its goals in that time for the win.

		SCORING
7' \| Cal scored early on, marking the first time Washington has trailed in the first half this season. 66' \| Woods grabbed a loose ball bouncing out of the box and passed back to Yates. The junior carried it for a few seconds before a charging Hussen made her way into a dangerous position and received the pass. Hussen's shot curved away from goal and inside the left post to tie the game. 83' \| Yates took a hard step to deflect an attempted clearance by Cal. The ball bounced straight to Siemonsma in the box, where she fired away to take the lead before the keeper could react.

		NOTES
Hussen set a new career high in goals and shots with her third goal of the season. This was Yates' second multi-assist game and eighth multi-point game. Siemonsma has scored at least one goal in four straight years and has had at least one assist in three straight. Washington has trailed for just 70 total minutes this season. Arizona State is the only opponent to record more than three shots on goal against the Huskies. Washington is on a three-game win streak against Cal, its longest since a four-game streak from 2000-2004.

Washington will stay at home next week, hosting the Washington State Cougars on Friday, March 19 at 7:00 pm on the Pac-12 Network.
