SEATTLE - Washington men's tennis has welcomed another new Husky to the family as Head Coach Matt Anger announced that Rikuto Yamaguchi has signed his letter of intent.
Yamaguchi is a native of Fukuoka, Japan and attends Keio High School. He holds a best Universal Tennis Rating of 11.58.
"We are thrilled to have signed Rikuto and looking forward to working with him," said Anger. "Personally, I'm thankful for the work that Coach Russell did in the process. Rikuto has been to the quarter-finals or better in 7 ITF singles events and has brought home a title 4 times on the ITF doubles circuit. He looks to fit in well collegiately with his international singles and doubles experience."
Yamaguchi is the third member thus far of Washington's 2021-22 freshman class following the commitments of Nedim Suko and Jacob Sleight.
The 2021 Dawgs earned a 7-0 win over Seattle on Monday evening and now face Idaho at home this Friday.
